Isabel Díaz Ayuso and José Luis Martínez-Almeida will continue at the head of the Community and the City Council of Madrid until 2027. The result is like a trip back in time, because it returns the PP to 2011, the last time in which the two institutions governed with an absolute majority.
With Ciudadanos, which has failed to achieve representation in either constituency, appearing and disappearing, the conservatives will once again have a free hand in their stronghold of Madrid.
