Princess Kate and Prince William traveled to Amman with 140 hand-picked guests for the wedding ceremony of the bride and groom. Less than a year later there is again wonderful news from the Arab country on the eastern bank of the Jordan.

The announcement was made on social media with a smiling photo of Hussein and Rajwa after their wedding in 2023. The couple was married in an Islamic ceremony called “Katb Katb” in the palace gardens, which received much attention from the world press. The close connection is explained by the fact that Hussein and William are graduates of the British Military Academy Sandhurst and have been known to have a close bond with William ever since. In 2018, the Prince of Wales was welcomed by Hussein during a solo trip to Jordan and stopped by his home, the king's residence in Beit al Urdun, to watch a football match. The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein are expecting their first child this summer.
