Bavaria-wide test alarm on March 14th also in Kaufbeuren. The alarm is sent via warning devices such as warning apps and cell broadcast.
This test alarm is carried out regularly on the second Thursday in March of each year. It serves to inform the population of the importance of the warning devices and to check the functionality of the existing warning systems. At around 11:00 a.m., the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior will centrally trigger the warning device and warning multipliers connected to the Modular Warning System (MoWaS)
