Bavarian Constitutional Order: Three honorees come from the Miesbach district. Markus Wasmeier, Wolfgang Hodbod and Alfred Aigner are among those honored.
Wasmeier created a village with 22 rebuilt farmhouses in the Schliersee open-air museum. Aigners fosters between 100 and 200 birds of prey every year at his bird of prey sanctuary in Otterfing. He also repeatedly took children into his own family at the Irschenberg Children's Village.
