The far-right Vlaams Belang party is leading the race in the north of the country. According to the latest Le Soir-RTL barometer, one in four Flemish voters will give their vote to Vlaam Belang (VB) The party is anti-immigration and eager to see national preference applied for social assistance.
The party wants to put an end to financial transfers from the north to the south of Belgium but having “good neighborly relations with Wallonia ”
