The minister of national security spoke with the police commissioner and the commander of the coastal district after last night's clashes. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for "the thugs who attacked the policemen" to be brought to justice.
The minister said that "a group of rioters, who do not represent all the demonstrators, behaved illegally, embittered the lives of the residents" In footage released from the demonstration in Caesarea, several police officers can be seen pushing and beating demonstrators.
