Climate activists wanted to ride the A8 for a bicycle demonstration. The Munich Administrative Court has now rejected them again.
Hundreds of cyclists cycled the approximately 77 kilometres from Augsburg to Munich. In April 2023, the rally also took place on the A96 - this time the motorway remains closed to cyclists, according to the VGH Munich. The climate activists are now considering filing a constitutional complaint with the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe. Alternatively, in a few months' time, another attempt will be made to obtain a permit for a cycling demonstration on the motorways.
