A 35-year-old Pakistani man, illegally present in the territory, was arrested by the police. He is accused of having raped prostitutes in the Bois de Boulogne.
He always acted with the same modus operandi: he dragged them into the undergrowth after giving them a chokehold at the end of a session with a client. Some said they had been threatened with a knife, a nunchaku - a combat weapon used in Asian martial arts -, brass knuckles, a baseball bat and a gun. At least three transsexual prostitutes described a man matching the description of the suspect after being sexually assaulted as early as 2022. He was indicted for “rape and attempted rape against people engaged in prostitution, which is an aggravating circumstance” and then placed in pre-trial detention in Fleury-Mérogis. He had already been arrested in February for the offense of carrying a category D weapon and forced to pay a fine of €700, while being prohibited from possessing a weapon for three years.
