A school at Pioltello near Milan where 40% of the students are Muslim has been criticized for closing down on Eid.    "The end of Ramadan is a very important holiday for us and it would give Muslim students the opportunity to be with their families," said Osama, one of the leaders of the Young Muslims of Italy.
