Ukraine's power grid is such a valuable target for Russian missile attacks that revealing the name or location of this plant could put the power plant and its employees at risk. Such attacks, which severely weaken the Ukrainian economy, are almost impossible to repel because Ukraine does not have sufficient air defense.

Russia knows the locations of the six thermal power plants operated by DTEK in Ukrainian-controlled territory, but not the extent of damage caused by the attacks. Even with the right supplies, it could take many months, if not longer, to repair the damage.
