Defense budget must increase by 4.5 to 6 billion euros so that Germany can achieve the NATO goal in 2025. A German delegation led by Boris Pistorius is currently traveling to the Scandinavian NATO states Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Pistorius already spoke out in favor of the Bundeswehr's next project: the frigate 127, which Germany wants to build together with Norway. Germany plans to procure up to six F127 ships within the next ten years. The future frigates should also be designed to defend against ballistic missiles.
