The investigation, coordinated by the Palermo Prosecutor's Office, led by Maurizio deLucia, led to 3 precautionary custody orders, 6 house arrest measures and 3 suspensions. The suspects are accused of association aimed at corruption, corruption, disrupting the freedom of auctions and incitement to corruption.

They would have bribed a series of public officials from various Sicilian municipalities with jewels, money, oil, panettone and offers of employment to win tenders, obtain reimbursements and speed up procedures. The handcuffs were placed on Giuseppe Gaglio, legal representative and president of the board of directors of the Nidod'Argento cooperative, Massimiliano Terzo, employee of the coop and Gaetano Di Giovanni, director of the socio-health district of Agrigento and head of the urban police of the City of Temples. A sixth recipient of house arrest is still wanted. The suspension from the exercise of public office was instead notified to Maria Rita Milazzo, manager of the Municipality of Balestrate.
