The Labor Party, which has been in opposition for fourteen years, is given the big favorite for the legislative elections which must take place by the end of the year. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has indicated that these elections will be held in the second half of this year, without giving a precise date. The British police announced on Friday that they were investigating accusations of violation of electoral law targeting the number 2 of the opposition, Labor AngelaRayner. The opening of the investigation comes a few months before the legislative election, for which Labor is widely favored in the polls. The 44-year-old denies any offense and accuses the conservatives in power of having “fabricated” these accusations. The investigation is expected to be concluded in a few weeks.
