Buckingham's guard at the Élysée to celebrate 120 years of Entente Cordiale. French guards did the same, in London, in front of Buckingham Palace.

This event marks the first participation in the changing of the guard ceremony of a country not belonging to the Commonwealth. Signed on April 8, 1904, the agreement helped improve relations between France and the United Kingdom after the Napoleonic Wars. It is considered the foundation of the alliance between the two members of NATO.
