Building application failed again: no city council majority for a minaret in Memmingen. The Turkish-Islamic community of Memmersen wants to build a 24-meter minaret on the site of a mosque.
Both the building committee and the city council plenum have so far voted against the building application. A minaret means “the rule of Allah over all others,” says the group. The city council should now meet on Monday (29). January 2024) to deal with the process again.
