Bullying was the reason for shootings in a Finnish elementary school. A twelve-year-old was killed.

The motive was dealing with him. The suspect is said to have confessed to the crime during the first interrogation. The gun used belonged to a close relative of the boy, police said. In response to the incident, flags in Finland were flown at half-mast. After shootings at Finnish schools in 2007 and 2008 that killed a total of 20 people, the country tightened its gun laws.
