Union politicians have once again urged the Bundestag to vote against planned legalization of cannabis. Doctors, police officers and psychotherapists warned about the law and all of the federal states' interior ministers spoke out against them. “The protection of children and young people is nothing more than mere lip service in your law,” said CDU health politician Simone Borchardt.
