A 70-year-old motorcyclist was killed on Friday evening (June 2) in a serious motorcycle accident near Stechendorf in Franconian Switzerland. For reasons that are still unclear, a car had come into the oncoming lane on state road 2191 and hit the motorcyclists head-on.
The number of motorcycle accidents in Germany has been at a high level for years. In 2022, there have been a total of 25,800 accidents involving bikers.
