Caritas daycare center in Holzkirchen is to become a house for children. The market town council agreed on this at its most recent meeting.
A legal right to all-day care for primary school students will be gradually introduced from August 2026. The committee sees childcare as a mandatory task. “Caritas does a lot for us here,” said the mayor, referring to the 75 children who are currently being cared for in the after-school care center.
