The 20-year-old won 6-4, 6-1 in the first round of the Masters Series. He is the first player to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament.
The next round will be held in New York City on May 28. The final will be played on May 31 in front of a crowd of more than 100,000 at the O2 Arena in London. The winner will be crowned the champion of the masters series for the first time in the history of the event.
