Around a hundred people were killed and 700 others injured during a riot on Thursday when humanitarian trucks arrived in Gaza City. The French Minister of Foreign Affairs called this Friday, March 1, for an independent investigation into the death of more than 110 people during an aid distribution in Gaza after Israeli fire.

This tragedy, recognized American President Joe Biden, will complicate talks to establish a truce in the Palestinian territory ravaged by nearly five months of conflict. It came on the day Hamas announced that more than 30,000 people have been killed there since the start of the war.
