Despite slight losses, the CDU is the clear winner of the local elections in Schleswig-Holstein. The Union is far ahead in all districts and has also done better in the four independent cities than in the past.
The Greens have obviously cost the federal political headwind a better result. In the 2022 state election, they had ousted the SPD from second place, which was also their goal this time. Around 1074,4 mandates were awarded in 11 municipalities belonging to the district.
