The UN World Food Program (WFP) warned last November of a " imminent cessation" of its aid in Chad. Chad hosts by far the largest number of Darfur refugees, mainly from Darfur fleeing the civil war started in 2003 in this region of eastern Sudan, already sheltered more than 400,000.
