On Saturday, an urn was installed in the courtyard of the Maison des associations on the occasion of the first Animal Day in the city. With 73 votes out of a total of 168, the small mammal has indeed become the new "totem" of Champigny.
The kingfisher (68 votes) and heron (27 votes) were also in the top three vote-getters for the title of "animal" in the French city of Val-de-Marne.
