The rules on points-based driving licenses could "be extended to other areas of activity" This is provided for by the amendment to the Pnrr decree approved by the Chamber Budget Committee. An initial score of 30 points and a threshold of 15 points for working on construction sites are confirmed for the licence.
The amendment also includes self-certification of the requirements for issuing the licence, with revocation in the event of an "untruthful declaration" ascertained "during the post-issue check" The table with the points deducted according to the violations is corrected. Those for accidents resulting in incapacity, which had been cut in a previous reformulation, are raised. The decree from the Ministry of Labor will identify them. The changes are to be implemented by the end of the year, according to a spokesman for the ministry. The amendments are to take effect from January 1, 2015, and to be fully implemented by July 1, 2016, the spokesman said. The points system is to be extended to all areas of work, including construction.
