Charlène's twins stick together: arm in arm, they celebrate Monaco's patron saint. On the eve of January 27th, celebrations in Monaco begin with the traditional burning of a wooden fishing boat in front of the Sainte-Dévote church.

Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella were allowed to light the boat with torches. According to legend, the Christian martyr was tortured to death in Corsica in the 4th century AD. A dove is said to have emerged from her mouth during a storm and guided the boat to Monaco.
