Paris hosted more than 7,400 days of filming in 2023. 98 feature films and 64 series were filmed in the City of Lights.
There was a drop in the number of American productions filmed on its soil. A strike of screenwriters and actors in Hollywood lasted almost five months. The City of Paris is working towards the establishment of an ecological transition plan for filming in Paris in the years leading up to the Olympic Games in 2024. The Cinema Mission has developed cartographic tools to “anticipate the constraints” of the Olympics.
