Riots broke out at a demonstration at Alexis-Schumann-Platz in Leipzig on Saturday afternoon. There were firecrackers, stones, bottles and an incendiary device were thrown at police officers.
The square was cleared by the police, demonstrators were surrounded. The occasion is the verdict against Lina E. and three co-defendants for attacks on alleged or actual neo-Nazis, in which several people were injured, some seriously. The organizer had dissolved the demonstration, said a police spokesman.
