Eight people were indicted and placed in pre-trial detention after several large cocaine seizures off the coast of the Antilles. In total, 17 people were intercepted as part of the fight against drugs between February 20 and 29.

Among them, a Russian, two British, a South African, Colombians and Spaniards were interviewed by investigators in Martinique before being brought to justice and incarcerated. These legal proceedings come after seizures at sea of ​​a total of 8.3 tonnes of cocaine by the French authorities.
