The four minors, aged 13, 9, 4 and an 11-month-old baby, could have been wandering for more than 15 days. The aircraft, a Cessna 206, had disappeared from radar on May 1 in the vicinity of San José del Guaviare.
Photos released to the press show scissors and a label of what appeared to be a hair band, new clues to guide rescuers. The search is made difficult by the presence of wild animals, trees up to 40 meters high and heavy rains.
