A German car magazine compares three premium SUVs, with a surprising outcome: It's not Mercedes or Audi that prevail - Kia is ahead. The crossover from the brand, which together with Hyundai forms one of the largest car companies in the world, prevailed against two German competitors.

When it comes to trunk volume, the Kia has the greatest potential. With the seats folded down, the seven-seater offers a maximum of 2318 liters. That's a lot more than the competition and underlines its suitability as a family car. The electric Audi Q8 leads the field in terms of power with 300 kW (408 hp), followed by the KIA with 283 kW (385 hp) and the Mercedes with 265 kW (360 hp) The latter has the largest electricity storage unit with 118 kWh. Despite its size, the Mercedes EQS SUV consumed the least electricity in the test (26.4 kWh per 100 km) The Kia with 28.7 kWh, while the Audi needed over 30 kWh. In terms of charging power, all three crossovers are similarly positioned with 170 kW (Audi) to 210 kW (Kia)
