Activists took action this Friday to ask the prefect not to authorize the drilling of eight new oil wells in the Arcachon basin. In the forest of La Teste-de-Buch, the Canadian group Vermilion Energy wishes to carry out eight additional oil drilling operations.
Activists are also calling for people to sign the petition against these future oil wells, which has already collected more than 35,000 signatures. For Greenpeace Bordeaux, authorizing these oil drilling would be “ecological nonsense and an anachronism”
