Bavaria's controversial wolf ordinance has been in force since May 1. Just two weeks later, Prime Minister Markus Söder is now talking about possible amendments.

Environmentalists want to take legal action against it, lawyers doubt its legality. The wolf is still strictly protected under European and German law, the Bavarian state government says. The Bund Naturschutz (BN) decided to file a lawsuit against the new regulation a few days ago, but it is not expected to go to court.
