A man was killed Thursday, February 22 in Haute-Corse during his arrest as part of a judicial investigation. Another person under investigation was shot and injured.
The events took place around 6 a.m. at the time of an operation carried out by the gendarmes in Poggio d'Oletta, a village located 20 km south of Bastia. The soldier responsible for the acts was placed in custody on sight of the charge of intentional homicide by a person holding public authority.
