The Sully bridge in the heart of Paris was hit by a river cruise ship and one of its arches was damaged. The Olympic parade on July 26 which will cross the Seine must pass underneath the building.

No expert is able to say how long this situation may last. The organizing committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Cojop) affirms that there is no reason to worry about the bridge's condition. The incident highlights an administrative complexity: the bridge belongs to the City of Paris but navigation on the river is subject to the authority of the regional prefect.
