Three men commit a burglary in Coulommiers and try to escape the police. They jump into the Grand Morin to try and get away from the officers.
One of them is arrested soaked to the skin a few meters from the river. The second was found a little later in the town center. The third will be arrested in the evening as he was returning home. Part of the stolen jewelry was recovered during the burglary, but investigators found part of the loot. The only downside was that a reservist police officer who had gone after the fugitives suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and was taken to hospital.
