A 25-year-old man paid for two bottles of beer for 2.14 euros in a Kaufering supermarket. The defendant claims to have found the note in the parking lot in front of the supermarket. Defense attorney Joachim Feller told chairman Alexander Kessler and the lay judges that he could no longer say whether the mentally ill man thought the money was real.
