On April 24th, 46 churches and chapels throughout Bavaria will open their doors for spontaneous blessings and wedding ceremonies of couples. Decorated churches, chapels and special places are prepared.
“We want to give all couples the chance to celebrate their love. And here we offer an opportunity,” says Starnberg's pastor Johannes de Fallois. The Friedenskirche will be available for large or small and intimate celebrations from 12 p.m. to 9 p. m. The “just get married” campaign offers couples the opportunity to receive God’s blessing for their relationship in an uncomplicated way. Other believers are also welcome to seek God's blessing fortheir relationship or marriage. Of course, queer couples are alsoelcome at “ just get married. Everyone can celebrate theirLove: festively, happily and with God's Blessings.” An overview of the churches involved can be found on the Internet. The campaign was launched by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Bavaria in 2023.
