The executive is seeking to curb the number of registrations, which have exploded since January. In January and February, more than 39,000 files were validated, for an amount of 42 million euros.
The eligibility of two wheels for the CPF was established by the law of June 21, 2023, supported by Renaissance deputies Sacha Houlié and Aurore Bergé. Nearly 1,400 French driving schools offer to obtain a motorcycle license without paying a single cent. The ministry could tighten the granting conditions, and reserve CPF financing for motorcycle licenses for French people who do not hold a car license. Conversely, those who already have their motorcycle license could no longer finance their B (car) license with their CPF. The CPF can grant a maximum grant of 5,000 euros, which generally ranges between 500 and 1,000 euro. It has become the second most requested certification on the platform, behind the car license, according to the Caisse des Dépôts.
