Crime increased in Thuringia: attacks on politicians. Crime clearance rate was 61.9 percent, slightly below the previous year's figure of 63.2 percent.
Almost 33,200 Thuringians were victims of crimes in the Free State - the number has increased by almost 10,000 since 2019. The number of suspects increased from 48,000 to 57,200 during this period. These included around 15,600 suspects from abroad, around 3,000 more than last year and the highest number in the last ten years.
