DAV house is being renovated: “New pearl on Spitzingsee”. It should be more modern, energy self-sufficient and climate neutral.
The renovation costs five million euros. The Alpine Club wants to operate climate-neutral houses by 2030. The house, which was built in 1953, is also being modernized inside: the roof is to be raised by 1.5 meters in order to increase the room height in the attic. Ten new rooms with their own bathrooms are to be created under the roof. There will still be shared showers and toilets on the upper floor.
