The Jerusalem Municipality will hold a "Distinguished Citizen of the City" award ceremony this week. Out of the 14 winners, only one is Arab.
The criteria for their selection stated: "The committee will take into account the fabric of the city's population" In the past 20 years, out of the 272 dear ones, only 5 Arabs have been elected. The municipality claimed: "Individual recommendations were received for candidates from East Jerusalem" The award is given to people who have made significant contributions to society.
