A white march is planned for this Friday, April 12, in the Cilof district in Viry-Chatillon where the family of Shemseddine lives. The march will set off in silence, at 2:30 p.m., from the Maison des jeunesse et de la culture (MJC) Saint-Exupéry.

According to the mayor, Jean-Marc Villain, SheMSeddine's mother, will not take part in the gathering. The town hall published on its website a call to participate in the march “as a sign of support for the bereaved family” Four young men were indicted for murder during the night from Sunday to Monday, with the prosecution citing a dispute involving the sister of two of them. All were placed in pre-trial detention.. The two brothers would have “learned, several days (before the events), that their sister corresponded with people of their age on subjects relating to their sexuality”, according to the Évry prosecutor's office.
