Defense of prominent human rights lawyer in Venezuela confirms her whereabouts after arrest. Rocío San Miguel, who has denounced cases of government corruption and human rights violations, is being held in El Helicoide.

The prosecution has not provided evidence to support the accusations of treason, conspiracy and terrorism, that the activist is accused of, according to her defense team. The lawyer continued to be the target of criticism, harassment and threats after the death of Chávez in 2013 and the arrival of Maduro to power.
