The coalition will advance a proposal that would allow the head of a committee to run in elections in the locality in which he held office. The proposal has drawn criticism within the coalition, claiming that it is personal and intended to help Boaz Yosef, a close associate of Deri and Smotrich.
The bill also drew criticism from within the Likud. MK Tali Gottlieb wrote today on the party's WhatsApp group that she would vote against the proposal and wrote that it was a "foul-smelling" proposal.
