Despite climate agreements: industrial giants are emitting more greenhouse gases worldwide. 57 companies are responsible for 80 percent of global industrial emissions.

Emissions have increased particularly sharply in the Asian coal sector. Europe still has the most emissions. US company ExxonMobil is the first company from a Western country to appear in eleventh place. Shell, BP, Chevron and Total are close behind, each with one per cent of global emissions. It is morally reprehensible that companies continue research and production of carbon fuels despite knowing that their products are harmful.
