Rumors of an imminent announcement from the BBC and about the health of the king and Kate Middleton have gone viral on social media. Some have no evidence, and others are false.

The hashtag #RoyalAnnouncement, about an alleged announcement in the making by the British royal family, became one of the most viral on the X network (formerly Twitter) in the United States on Monday. Several Russian media, however, such as RIA, Sputnik, Readkovka and Mash, reported this Monday that Charles III had died.
