A Long Island scientist who runs a drug lab accidentally turned himself in to the police. 23-year-old Matthew Lashinsky called the police around 3:30 a.m.
on June 7 to report a burglary. Officers found shards of glass at the entrance to the laboratory, which they concluded was secretly producing methamphetamine. More than 100 items of laboratory equipment, chemical reagents and solvents that go into meth were found at the scene, along with more than 90 grams of crystal meth, 625,000 milligrams of pure ketamine.
