A tanker truck collided with a car in the Harz Mountains and lost hundreds of liters of fuel. The tank of the semi-trailer was torn open as a result of the collision and ran empty.

The route was closed for hours and only reopened in the evening around 7 p.m. Because the accident site was in a water protection area, an area of over 100 square meters had to be dredged. This is intended to prevent environmental damage caused by diesel. The lower water authority examined the extent of the damage on site.
