[HIGHLIGHTS] Disclosure: An Israeli news website is allegedly operated by foreign parties - and affects tens of thousands of Israelis

In January 2024, a website was launched called "Dopek Tiwi" which deals with news in Hebrew. The location of at least two of its operators was located in Lebanon, alongside posts with writing marks from the Arabic and Persian languages.

The publications on the various platforms are written in Hebrew and English at the same time. Most of the content, if not all, is copied from publications that appear on the networks and existing Israeli news sites. Despite the huge investment in graphics and content, the language used by the account operators is garbled or unconventional Hebrew. Videos were recently uploaded in which the speaker is based on AI software. The operators of the network "are listed as operating outside of Israel." Dopek Tiwi's website remained through the Go Daddy domain site and a simple WordPress platform. One of the users on the WordPress users page is called Fadel, which is not an Israeli name, since the site is linked to a temporary domain and internal references, which are intended to obscure the traces of its operators. A significant part of the references to the articles on the site appear graphic stories that favor a pro-Palestinian narrative. In one of the publications dealing with Prime Minister Netanyahu's instruction to close the offices of the Qatari Al Jazeera television network, a picture of the former Communications Minister - Yoaz Hendel appears. In addition to this, there was an increased engagement with extreme content and conflicts. "There is no certainty that this is the place from which they operate," they say in Fake Reporter, but clarify - "there is a low probability that these are Israelis who wrote about themselves as living in Lebanon." "As long as the State of Israel does not demand that the social networks act on the issue - the citizens and national security of Israel will be an easy and convenient target for our enemy."
